Process

What happens after you subscribe

Most vendors describe their process in verbs nobody can check: we align, we amplify, we activate. Here is the actual sequence, including the one step that needs your time and the one thing nobody controls.

Onboarding, about 20 minutes, once

Practice areas, the attorneys who can be quoted, their credentials and experience, the positions they hold, topics that are off limits, required disclaimer language if your state has any, and the pages links should point at. This intake is the raw material for everything that follows, and the better it is, the better the commentary reads.

Sourcing starts the same week

Journalists post requests for expert sources every day: a family lawyer on a custody ruling, an injury attorney on a recall, an employment lawyer on a new regulation. We watch the requests that fit your practice areas and draft expert commentary in your attorneys' names, in their voice, from the intake.

Coverage lands on the journalist's schedule

When a reporter uses the commentary, the piece typically names the attorney, names the firm, and links back. Some requests convert in days, some never do, and no one can promise which. This is the step nobody controls, and the reason everything on this site says average.

The report arrives monthly

Every URL that landed, the publication, and which links came from DR 50+ sites. Clickable and checkable, so you verify the work rather than trust a summary of it. If a link is not in the report, it did not land; the report is the deliverable.

What each pace looks like in practice

Averages across clients at each tier. Your market's competitiveness moves the number month to month, in both directions.

The three packages, their averages and per-link arithmetic, August 2026
PackageMonthly priceAverage links per monthOf which DR 50+Effective cost per link
Visibility$6993 to 41 to 2$175 to $233
Authority$1,2997 to 102 to 4$130 to $186
Market Leader$1,99915 to 204 to 8$100 to $133

A note on the first month. Sourcing starts inside the first week, but a journalist request can take weeks to become a published piece. Expect the first mentions during month one and the pace to normalise by month two. Judging the subscription on its first two weeks is judging a crop by the week it was sown.

If the pace question is the only open one, start at Authority and move at any renewal.

Compare the three packages

What we need from you, honestly

The subscriptions that perform have one thing in common, and it is not the market.

  • Attorneys with actual positions. "It depends" is legally sound and editorially useless. The partners who get quoted are the ones willing to say what the ruling means.
  • A complete onboarding. Ten thin answers produce generic commentary; one page of real experience produces quotable commentary. Those 20 minutes buy more than anything else you will do here.
  • Constraints stated up front. Off-limits topics, state advertising rules, required disclaimers. Standing instructions beat retroactive corrections.
  • Patience measured in months. The subscription compounds. Firms that judge it at week three cancel the thing that was about to work.

The onboarding form is short, and the first sourcing run starts the week you complete it.
